He is a large buck with a lot of bone, and has consistently passed those traits to his offspring. He has black feet that have never required any trimming. Rio kids topped the scales at weaning as some of the heaviest kids on farm. Rio genetically is a combination of two of the most successful bucks in the breed when it comes to independent performance tests with Hammer and Copyright. Hammer was the long holding ADG record holder for a buck test until a son of Copyright broke this record in 2014.
